What costs more to bring to your home: Electricity or Water?

I’ve been having an issue with a co-worker about water usage. While I understand conservation is an issue, he allows electricity use to go unchecked.

My electric bill is 4x more than the water bill. 75% of my water bill is for sewage, not for the water.

Best answer is to conserve both, minor measures like turning things off consistently can be effective, and take little time or effort.

Perhaps cost is not the issue, in your question, but what is more important.

We can live without electricity but not without water. On the other hand, if you have electricity, you can always have water.

There is so much waste in this world already, particularly commercial and industrial, which we can do nothing about, that I would not be concerned either way.
